My friend Emma is a very noble person if you know her well enough, but seems to be a bit of a suck up. I really like her as a friend, but she tries to keep on butting into my love life. I really dislike it. What can I do to politely and without hurting her feeling tell her to back off?

Emma seems like a nice person, but her interest in others peoples love is what she longs for. The problem here is Emma's lack of love in her own life. I think you must make her look at her own life, and reflect to see what she wants. She needs to focus on her self so that she doesn't focus on others.

Assignment #3

The two topics that I would like to discuss in my group are what do you think of Emma's love triangle that she herself has put herself into, and what is your ending to this story? A character that I would like to discuss is Emma's Father, Mr. Woodhouse, because you would just have to think of his strength not only physically, but mentally to proper his daughters for life's challenges. Conflict is a really big one for this whole entire book, but in this section the trouble begins with the love triangle and Emma trying to find herself, and who she is really in love with. So the conflict is mostly internal, but it still has some external in it.

Assignment #2

81, "Emma liked the ... the matter stands." The importance of this paragraph is to show Emma's curiosity and imagination. This makes Emma more realistic, and people could compare themselves to her more. Another thing is what she does not want to become. This shows her likes, dislikes, and dreams.

97, "She was the ... arguments against herself." Emma shows her opinions and thoughts even more in this scene. The readers start seeing Emma's love interests. Her feeling are shown, and expresses herself with the topic of her society in that time and day. Emma may have a womens body, but her mind is childish. She is a little selfish, but she does in her own way care for others.
