Assignment #2

81, "Emma liked the ... the matter stands." The importance of this paragraph is to show Emma's curiosity and imagination. This makes Emma more realistic, and people could compare themselves to her more. Another thing is what she does not want to become. This shows her likes, dislikes, and dreams.

97, "She was the ... arguments against herself." Emma shows her opinions and thoughts even more in this scene. The readers start seeing Emma's love interests. Her feeling are shown, and expresses herself with the topic of her society in that time and day. Emma may have a womens body, but her mind is childish. She is a little selfish, but she does in her own way care for others.
